About jag´putters

The original stamping of a personal identification number onto each jag' putter is without doubt a testimony of its uniqueness.

Every jag' putter has its own serial number on the bottom blade of the toe. This consists of one to two letters, a dividing character and of two to three numbers depending on the size of the series. There may be differences in this method of stamping, mainly for special series of up to 20 pieces. Each jag’ putter is registered including its specifications in the book of jag’ putters. Should you have any questions concerning the numbering of your piece, you want to know when it was made or the name of the first owner, we will gladly answer them.

A standard production series of one type and model amounts to 499 numbered pieces. The limited edition (LE) is always manufactured in the quantity of 99 putters.

Custom-made models (different from the design or properties of the standard series) are marked with a hand-stamped CS (Custom shop) logo on the heel. The FF stamp (For Friends Only) is used on no more than 10 pieces from the series.

Prototypes are marked with the sequence X0.00 on the bottom of the putter and should you own a piece with this numbering, you can be certain that you will not find a second of the same model. The numbers of prototypes is very limited and are not readily available on the market under normal circumstances.

XHM marked putters are hand-made prototypes and they can only be acquired directly from the manufacturer. In 2008 we only made 3 pieces marked XHM 2008.

The following are other markings you can find on jag’ putters:

  • TiB (titan black) is the black Titanium Carbide coating with added carbon. It is marked with high resistance to wear and tear and damage.
  • TiSi (titan silver) is sometimes also marked as BSi. It has a matter silver highly resistant coating usually used in combination with the polished heel of the putter.
  • SR (sunrise) is Titanium Carbide bronze coloured coating used in a small number of prototypes.
  • BG a DBS (blue gun a deep blue sea) is a special iron oxide and aluminium coating. It is marked for its deep blue colour and creates an inconsistent coating passing into yellow (small patches).
  • MCB (mirror custom brush)
  • GM (gypsy mom) is a dark grey patinated coating similar to the colour of raw titanium.
  • Black Smoke is a highly glossy black coating used on a small number of prototypes.
